From Lhasa to Mt. Everest

So I made it to Tibet. James my Australian friend and I met up with Alda from California in Chengdu, Sichuan, China and flew to Lhasa. We took a Landcruiser tour, which is basically just being driven around Tibet in a Toyota SUV, and will come back to Lhasa in about three days.

There are many Han Chinese immigrants in Tibet now, which is something sensitive that I can comment on later when I get back to China. For now it's just a bit sad to see what has happened to Tibet, and it doesn't look like things will change for a while.

I'll probably stay in Tibet for another 10 days once I get back to Lhasa, and head to Inner Mongolia on the way back to Beijing to fly out.
